The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on Tuesday decided against attending the parliamentary committee meeting pertaining to the appointment of the new chief justice of Pakistan.
According to details, JUI-F leader Senator Kamran Murtaza had contacted the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) leadership. Sources divulged that during his conversation with the SIC, Murtaza had talked about the party’s participation in the special committee meeting.
The sources privy to the development told that SIC said that it was the decision made by the political committee to not attend the parliamentary committee meeting.
