A ramming terror attack near a bus stop in the Glilot area of central Israel left approximately 37 people injured on Sunday.
The incident occurred when a truck crashed into a bus stop, with the impact causing varying degrees of injuries among those present.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA), one individual is in critical condition, while six others are seriously wounded. Five individuals sustained moderate injuries, and around 20 people were treated for minor wounds. Additionally, four individuals experienced anxiety and were treated at the scene.
Witnesses reported that civilians intervened by firing at the truck driver, preventing further chaos. Preliminary investigations revealed that a bus had stopped near the bus stop before the truck collided with both the bus and pedestrians waiting at the stop.
Emergency responders, including United Hatzalah volunteers, arrived promptly, providing initial treatment to over 20 individuals. Some victims had to be rescued from under the truck by fire crews, and members of the Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit were on hand to assist those suffering from emotional distress.
The attacker has been apprehended, and emergency services continue to treat the injured at the scene.
