Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the top Android releases of 2025, with rumours pointing to an early-year launch in January or February.
This flagship device is anticipated to bring significant design, display, and performance upgrades, although these improvements might come with a higher price tag.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra may see a slight size increase, sporting a 6.9-inch screen with slimmer bezels and a sleek frame, making it marginally taller, narrower, and thinner than its predecessor, the S24 Ultra.
Rumours also suggest that it could be rebranded as the Galaxy S25 Note to pay homage to Samsung's discontinued Note series.
Powering the device will likely be the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to outperform the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
A higher manufacturing cost could mean the S25 Ultra will start at a premium price, potentially exceeding the S24 Ultra’s $1,299.99 launch cost.
On the camera front, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor is expected to replace the 12MP sensor, complementing the existing 200MP main and 50MP telephoto cameras.
With up to 16GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is geared for AI and gaming performance. Colour options might include titanium shades, with possible online exclusives through Samsung’s store.
