Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed concern over delay in the presidential assent to Madrasah Registration Act.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on Rehman. During the two-hour meeting, both leaders exchanged views on the key political matters.
PPP leaders Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Qamar Zaman Kaira accompanied Bhutto-Zardari, while Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Kamran Murtaza, Ghulam Ali, Maulana Lutfur Rehman and Maulana Asad Mahmood represented the JUI-F.
After the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left without speaking to the media.
Raja Pervaiz Ashraf termed the meeting "good," while JUI-F leader Kamran Murtaza stated, "We held talks, and the rest is in God’s hands. The president represents the state, not a political party."
