Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar confirmed that a foreign country was involved in the Sialkot mosque attack as both attackers involved in the incident were arrested and expected to appear in court soon.
He hailed Pakistani agencies for swiftly tracing the incident within 24 hours.
Punjab's top cop vowed his intention to expose those conspiring against Pakistan on a global scale. He said evidence from the crime scene was indicated and confirmed link to a foreigner's hand and he made the statement after a comprehensive investigation.
Dr. Usman Anwar suggested that the evidence pointed towards the involvement of external forces.
He further disclosed that the terrorist attack was planned in another country—claiming the ‘transnational nature of the conspiracy’.
The IG Punjab also reported the arrest of the shooters responsible for the murder inside the mosque.
