Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has reconstituted the Case Management Committee, which he will personally head.
The newly formed six-member committee includes Justice Naeem Afghan, Justice Shahid Bilal, and Justice Shafi Siddiqui.
Additionally, the Additional Registrar and Director IT have also been included in the committee.
The reconstitution aims to enhance judicial efficiency and streamline case management processes.
SC reshuffles administrative committees, appoints new judges
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, has reshuffled several administrative committees in the Supreme Court and appointed new judges to oversee various judicial and administrative functions.
Anti-Terrorism Courts Oversight:
Justice Musarrat Hilali has been appointed as the overseeing judge for the Anti-Terrorism Courts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Justice Malik Shehzad will oversee Punjab’s courts.
Justice Hashim Kakar has been appointed for the same role in Balochistan, and Justice Salahuddin Panhwar for Sindh’s courts. Justice Amir Farooq will oversee the courts in Islamabad.
Supreme Court Building Committee:
Justice Jamal Mandokhel has been appointed as the head of the Supreme Court Building Committee.
Justice Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Amir Farooq will serve as members of the committee.

IT Committee:
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will personally lead the IT Committee, while Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Mian Gul Hassan will serve as committee members.
Research Center Committee:
Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan will chair the Research Center Committee. Justice Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Amir Farooq have been appointed as members.
Law Clerk Program Committee:
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar will head the Law Clerk Program Committee, with Justice Mian Gul Hassan as a member.
Chamber Appeals and Special Committees:
Chamber Appeals:
A total of five judges have been designated to hear chamber appeals. The judges appointed include Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, and Justice Hashim Kakar, along with Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Justice Shakeel Ahmed.
Archive & Museum Committee:
Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi will head the Supreme Court Archive and Museum Committee. Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will serve as members.
Security and Family Cases:
Justice Iftikhar Ibrahim has been appointed as the Security Judge. He will oversee security matters related to the Supreme Court Building, Branch Registrar, and Judges’ Colony.
Justice Mian Gul Hassan has been designated as the contact judge for the Pakistan-UK protocol in family and child custody cases.
Immediate Justice & Model Courts:
The Committee for Immediate Justice and Model Courts will now be headed by Justice Malik Shehzad, with Justice Hashim Kakar, Justice Salahuddin Panhwar, and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim as members.
Supreme Court Staff Uniform Committee:
The committee tasked with checking the quality of the Supreme Court staff's uniforms has been dissolved, and the Registrar of the Supreme Court issued separate notifications for all committee appointments.
Supreme Court releases roster of sittings for Feb 15-21, 2025
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has released the roster of sittings for the week of February 15-21, 2025, with multiple regular and constitutional benches scheduled to hear cases in Islamabad.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will head Regular Bench-I, alongside Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, from February 17 to 21.
Other benches include Regular Bench-II, led by Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, and Regular Bench-III, comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Ayesha A. Malik, both hearing cases during the same period.
Several benches will sit for shorter durations, such as Regular Bench-IV, which includes Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail and Justice Aamer Farooq, scheduled for February 17 only.
Additionally, a Constitutional Bench-IV, chaired by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, along with Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Musarrat Hilali, Justice Naeem Akhter Afghan, and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan, will hear cases from February 18 to 20, with a revised composition for February 21.
