The petitions related to holding general elections in 90 days in the Supreme Court of Pakistan have been fixed for hearing on October 23.
A three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan will hear the case. Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aminuddin Khan are included in the bench. Petitions have been filed by the Supreme Court Bar and PTI among others.
Civilians’ trial in military court
The Supreme Court has fixed the hearing of the case against the trials of civilians in military courts on October 23.
A division-member bench headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan will hear the case. The division bench includes Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Mazhar Naqvi, and Justice Ayesha Malik.
The apex court issued notices to the parties.
It is pertinent to note that the last hearing was held on August 3.
