The main accused involved in the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was awarded a life sentence on Saturday.
According to details, the anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala announced the verdict in the attack on the PTI founder.
Naveed was sentenced to life imprisonment under two legal sections.
The incident occurred on 3 November 2022, when gunfire suddenly erupted at Allah Wala Chowk in Wazirabad, targeting the PTI long march container.
It is pertinent to note that the attack took place during the PTI's long march, and as a result, the former prime minister, among others, was injured.
