Former interim prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said on Saturday that India had tried to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty through the Pahalgam false flag operation.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Kakar said: "The Indian announcement to stop water is an attack on Pakistan's sovereignty. Vandalism has become part of the Indian manifesto. The fear of war has arisen between the two nuclear powers."
Kakar said: "The entire nation should stand together, putting aside all differences, in such a situation. We need to understand the seriousness of the matter."
"Both India and Pakistan have large armed forces and nuclear weapons. We have to give a response to India by standing united under one Pakistani flag," he said.
"We must be ready to face any situation," Kakar added.
