Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry vowed on Saturday a decisive response to India in the event of any misadventure.
Speaking on the Samaa TV programme "Mere Sawal With Absar Alam", Chaudhry said: “Our security forces are doing their job. Elections are about to take place in two provinces of India, and the Modi-led government has failed to demonstrate its political performance.”
“As a result, the Indian government has created a false narrative against Pakistan. The Pakistani nation and its forces are on the same page. Such atrocities will not be tolerated,” he said.
“We do not want war with anyone. Kashmir is our jugular vein. We have also submitted dossiers globally regarding terrorism,” Chaudhry stated.
“Pakistan is a responsible country. Nuclear weapons are meant for the protection and sovereignty of the nation,” he added.
He said: “Pakistan’s response will be historic if India makes any mistake in the region.” Criticising India, Chaudhry remarked: “They make grand claims on TV, but cannot hold their ground at the Line of Control (LoC).”
“Pakistan has all the plans. We are not only making statements, but will also take action. A narrative has been built against Pakistan because Modi’s popularity in India has fallen. Responsible leaders consider their words carefully, but Modi seeks popularity through television appearances,” he said.
“We will respond if no solution is found, as the World Bank has provided a guarantee for the Indus Waters Treaty,” he concluded.
