A suspect involved in the kidnapping of a five-year-old girl from Lahore turned out to be a paedophile, as evidence of sexual exploitation of four more girls was found by the police.
The suspect was identified by showing his picture to 19 children in the area.
On the evening of October 26, a five-year-old girl was abducted from the Ichhra area of Lahore.
Gulberg ASP Shahr Bano Naqvi said: “Accused Muhibullah wanted to sexually assault the girl by taking her near Bhaati Gate. He was caught when the girl made noise.”
The mother of the abducted girl said: “When the closed-circuit footage of the accused came to light, the picture was shown to 16 children.”
The interrogation of the suspect led the police to Muhibullah's house.
