In a devastating incident, a family of Pakistani pilgrims on their way to Qatar from Makkah met with a horrific accident near Riyadh, resulting in the loss of four lives.
The accident occurred when their vehicle collided with a trailer, leaving Major Arsalan, a dedicated Pakistan Army officer stationed in Qatar, critically injured.
According to diplomatic sources, Major Arsalan was traveling with his family when the tragic accident unfolded. His mother, wife, son, and daughter were among the unfortunate casualties of the collision.
The entire family, in pursuit of their pilgrimage journey, faced an untimely and heart-wrenching end in the accident.
Major Arsalan, the lone survivor in the family, sustained injuries and is currently receiving intensive medical care at a local hospital in Riyadh. The medical staff is diligently working to ensure his recovery, while the Pakistani embassy is actively involved in assisting with the necessary documentation and arrangements for the deceased.
The bodies of the deceased family members will be repatriated to Rawalpindi, Pakistan, following the completion of the required procedures.
Ambassador of Pakistan, Ahmed Farooq, expressed his heartfelt condolences for the deceased family members and extended his prayers for Major Arsalan's swift recovery.
