The government has introduced significant changes to the pay scales for various government officers, particularly in the special pay scales known as MP1, MP2, and MP3.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has given his approval for these adjustments, marking a major increase in the management position salary package.
Under these revisions, the maximum salary for individuals in the MP1 pay scale has been raised from Rs532,000 to Rs772,000, while the minimum salary has increased from Rs 433,000 to Rs 629,000.
For the MP2 scale, the minimum salary has been elevated from Rs181,000 thousand to Rs263,000, and the maximum salary from Rs290,000 to Rs421,000. Similarly, in the MP3 scale, the minimum salary now stands at Rs127,000, up from Rs227,000, and the maximum salary has been adjusted from Rs184,000 to Rs263,000.
It’s important to note that these adjustments are in addition to other benefits like house rent, utility facilities, and perks granted to those in special pay scales. Furthermore, privileges under the vehicle monetization facility will remain intact.
The revised Management Position Salary Package is scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2023, as per the notification.
