Grand Democratic Leaders (GDA) Adil Altaf and Adnan Altaf on Thursday joined the ranks of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Both the leaders made this announcement during a meeting with Faryal Talpur in Karachi. The leaders expressed their confidence in the PPP's leadership.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, and Sohail Anwar Siyal.
– Elections for all political parties –
Earlier, PPP senior leader Qamar uz Zaman Karia talking to SAMAA TV said that the uncertain situation has culminated in the holding of the Elections Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as the electoral body announced the date.

“The date announcement was necessary so political parties could start the political process. In fact, the PPP has launched the electoral campaign process. Let’s end the uncertainty,” he said.
Karia said now the national debate on media should be on free and fair elections wherein all parties should participate in the political process and people should be given the right to decide and elect representatives.
“Political parties should shun bashing culture and learn from past and present the future roadmap to people. Pakistan should go for the democratic culture it includes the role of media, teachers, and scholars, and over society should include in the democratic process.”
– PPP will win elections, predicts Murad –
PPP senior leader Murad Ali Shah predicted on Wednesday that his party will win the elections.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Murad said: ‘’The PPP will snatch the level-playing field in the upcoming elections. We [PPP] will emerge as the country’s biggest political party''.
The former Sindh chief minister recounted the contributions made by the PPP. ‘’We came up with the world’s biggest project in terms of constructing the houses,’’ he maintained.
He lavished praise on former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. ‘’The PPP chairman had raised the voice for rehabilitation," he stated.
