Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari condemned the DI Khan blast on Friday, in which six people were killed and 20 injured.
Expressing his thoughts, Zardari offered his sincere condolences to the victims’ families. He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
He maintained, ‘’Those who targeted innocent people cannot be forgiven. The federal and provincial governments should ensure to end the menace of terrorism’’.
‘’The terrorists are the enemies of the country and its people. There is a dire need to get rid of the enemies of the country,’’ Zardari stated.
– DI Khan motorbike blast –
Six people were killed and over 20 injured in a powerful explosion that occurred in Tank Adda in Ponda Bazar of Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) today.
According to SAMAA TV, citing the police, sounds of gunfire were reported at the blast site. The KP bomb disposal squad and law enforcement agencies have arrived at the scene. Emergency measures have been implemented in hospitals in DI Khan.
According to the initial report, the explosive device was planted on a motorbike.
Police said that five injured persons are in critical condition.
The in-charge of the Bomb Disposal Unit Inayatullah told SAMAA TV that explosive material was planted in a motorcycle and the blast was carried out by remote control.
