A seven-month pregnant woman lost her baby after a group of influential people tortured her in Okara.
Akhtarabad-resident Rabia Bibi and her husband Ijaz were subjected to severe torure allegedly by a group of influential people, identified as Tajamul, Muzamil, Fayyaz, Ijaz,Manzoor and others, over a minor dispute in the middle of the road.
As a result, the seven-month pregnant woman lost her unborn child, while her husband is currently struggling for his life.
When Rabia reached the Akhtarabad Rural Health Centre, a lady doctor named Aqsa refused to provide her medical treatment because of the alleged involvement of influential people.
Talking to the media while carrying the remains of her unborn baby, Rabia appealed to Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the health secretary, the Punjab police chief, Sahiwal regional police office, Okara district police officer for immediate justice.
