Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that the next prime minister of Pakistan will be a jiyala.
Addressing party workers in Karachi’s Ibrahim Hayderi, Bhutto said that the PPP will win the next general elections and form the next government.
“We call fair and transparent elections a level playing field,” he said. “If the playing field is level, only the PPP will win the election.”
Bhutto said that the PPP was with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) when it was founded, but left the alliance during the PTI government. He said that the PPP was not interested in forcing Shahbaz Sharif to become prime minister.
“The interest of contesting the elections was only for the PPP and for others,” he said. “Those who have political alliances do politics well. Alliances are harmful when they are formed.”
Bhutto said that the PPP was with PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif when his statement was “respect the vote.” However, he said that Sharif’s narrative has changed.
“The alliance of PML-N and MQM will not harm the People’s Party,” he said.
The former foreign minister said that the PPP was not complaining about the level playing field. “I am sending a message to the entire party to stop complaining about the level playing field from today,” he said.
Bhutto said that the PPP will build sports fields for the people of Karachi and promote sports for the youth.
He said that the PPP will form the next provincial and federal governments. “Jayala Mayor, Jayala Chief Minister and Jayala Prime Minister,” he said.
Bhutto said that the people are with the PPP. “The Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief Minister of Sindh will be a PPP jiyala,” he said.
