Pakistani actress Ghana Ali has opened up about the criticism she has faced for being a gold digger.
Ghana Ali, who is married to Umair Gulzar, has been called a home wrecker and a gold digger by some, ever since her husband's second marriage.
Umair Gulzar is a self-made millionaire businessman from Karachi who has built a multi-million dollar empire called the Gulzar Group.
Gulzar's journey to success began with a small business that he gradually grew over time.
In a recent interview on the FHM podcast, Ghana Ali addressed the criticism head-on.
She said that she does not understand why people call her a gold digger as her husband has a stable job and is not a super rich businessman.
She also added that she is financially independent and does not need someone for money.
"I don't know where this gold is that I am apparently digging," Ghana Ali said. "I would like to have it if there is some."
Ghana Ali also touched upon the negative media attention she has received, which she believes is the result of a paid campaign by her husband's ex-wife.
"I have been bashed on the media as a target of a paid campaign by my husband's ex," the actress said.
Despite the criticism, Ghana Ali remains confident and happy in her marriage. She said that she and her husband have faced the trolling with grace and are stronger than ever.
