A Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officer, Aleena Rajper, came under fire on social media platform X, formally known as Twitter, for her alleged ‘rude behaviour’ with an Afghan refugee during an inspection visit to the Sohrabgoth vicinity of Karachi.
Karachi Ssuperintendents of Police (SP) Aleena Rajpar and Faiza Sodhar conducted a search operation for alleged illegal Afghan refugees in the Sohrabgoth neighbourhood and inquired about the expired identity cards.
As seen in the footage making rounds on social media, SP Rajper inquired an ‘Afghan’ national what is father's name was. The inquiry led to a huge backlash against her on social media platforms for using inappropriate language and behviour with a poor person.
PEMRA regional director Ayesha Manzoor Wattoo also took to X and expressed her displeasure on the video circulating on social media platforms.
Ayesha Wattoo said: “No academy or institution in the world can teach a person what he/she is taught by parents and at the home environment. On the first day of my office, my father explained one thing that you are going in public life only to serve the people created by Allah.”
“Take people’s pain in your heart and whatever happens in life, don't be arrogant because Allah strongly dislikes pride and never spoke loudly to anyone in this 15 years of service, always respected people,” she wrote in a post on X.
She further said: “But alas, this is a very rude class. Not all are like that, but most are like that these women come to the offices with the complex of empowerment, but look at the history and see that none of the great women leaders of the world had the qualities like her,” she added.
“Imagine the helplessness of poor nations who go to these women's offices for their petty work and are treated worse than animals,” she said.

Another user questioned the point of the video. "The police, men or women, has been a source of harassment for refugees, yes even those with legal rights. What, we are cleaning up your neighbourhoods by targeting poor refugees?"
Seriously, what is the point of the video? The police, men or women, has been a source of harassment for refugees, yes even those with legal rights. What, we are cleaning up your neighbourhoods by targeting poor refugees? https://t.co/p2evVSIJYe

Rajper, the Jamshed Town SP in East Karachi, had earlier tweeted and refuted alleged propaganda against her office in Karachi.
She captioned: "Propaganda and misinformation has no end."

It is pertinent to note that SP Aleena Rajpar X, formally known as a Twitter account does not exist now.
