Caretaker Education Minister of Sindh Madad Ali Sindhi said he would close the private universities if he was authorized to do so.
He gave the statement in a Senate session that was held under the chairmanship of Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.
During the meeting, Senator Krishna Kumari expressed her opinion in the Upper House of the Parliament that if a student failed in a subject at a private university, his entire academic year of the student is considered wasted.
Replying to Senator Krishna, the caretaker education minister said: “If I am allowed, I will ban all private universities.”
