The Supreme Court adjourned hearings on the appeal of PTI Chairman Imran Khan against his indictment in the cipher case.
The court granted the adjournment, allowing the petitioner’s counsel to make amendments to the petition.
A three-member bench of the SC, headed by Justice Sardar Tariq, heard the request of the former prime minister.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Hamid Khan said the Islamabad High Court had announced a decision on Tuesday, in light of which he wanted to amend his application.
Justice Tariq said the previous day’s decision would be challenged separately and sought arguments on whatever had been challenged as of now.
The lawyer replied that yesterday's decision was related to this case.
The court then allowed amendments to the application at the request of Hamid Khan. The next hearing will be held when the amended petition is filed.
Lawyer Salman Safdar said Imran Khan’s bail petition is also fixed for today. The court replied that bail would be heard on its turn.
