TV personality and cryptocurrency expert Waqar Zaka has come forward and responded to actor and host Nida Yasir's allegations that he tried to sabotage her career.
A few days ago, veteran morning show host Nida accused Zaka of trying to sabotage her career while they were both working for ARY Digital. Yasir, who has been hosting a popular morning show for over 15 years, made the claims during her appearance on the TV show Hasna Mana Hai.

On Sunday, in a video message posted to his X account, Zaka said he couldn’t respond earlier as he was busy at Stanford University, California, USA. He then said it was important to close the chapter once and for all, adding that Yasir was doing all this to get ratings and make news.
In the video, he recalled an incident from 2020 when Nida “made the biggest mistake” by inviting the parents of a girl who had been murdered after sexual abuse, and made them cry on TV by asking sensitive questions. When she received backlash, he says, she claimed on her show that her team hadn’t invited the parents, but had themselves approach the channel through Sarim Burney to gain “media support”.

Zaka then says she lied about this, and supported his claims by playing the video of a supposed social activist who visits the child’s home and asks her father and uncle if what Nida said was true. The men denied reaching out to the channel and said it was the other way round.
Zaka also attempts to debunk another of Nida’s supposed lies that the FIR of the incident was registered only after the parents appeared on her show. However, the deceased child’s family tells the activist at their home that the report was registered the same day the girl disappeared, while the show was aired much later.
Zaka then claimed Nida was upset with him over these claims of hers that he attempted to debunk. He further says he even asked Salman Iqbal to replace Nida Yasir as their morning show host.
