From Dec 3 to 10, Rs2.36 billion have been collected and 222 people have been arrested in a cardoon against electricity theft across the country.
As per statistics, 132 people were arrested from Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan, while Rs1.25 billion have been recovered and a total of 76 people were arrested from Hyderabad and Sukkur and Rs0.36 billion were recovered.
A total of Rs0.3 billion has been recovered from Quetta and Gwadar, Rs0.5 billion from Peshawar and newly merged districts and 14 people have been arrested from Peshawar. Rs53.65 billion have been recovered from September 1 to December 10.
The concerned institutions are determined to continue the crackdown against electricity theft.
