Istehkam-e-Pakistan (PP) President Abdul Aleem Khan paid tribute to Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfouz Shaheed Nishan Haider on his 52nd Martyrdom Day.
Abdul Aleem Khan said Lance Naik Mahfooz fought the enemy single-handedly and defeated the entire Indian platoon creating an everlasting story of courage, bravery, and skill that will always be remembered in history.
“Pakistan is safe due to the great sacrifices of martyrs and the entire nation salutes its national hero,” he added.
Lance Naik Mohammad Mahfouz Shaheed Nishan Haider showed such qualities of bravery in the war of 1971 that even the enemy had to acknowledge his bravery.
The 52nd Martyrdom Day of the brave son of the nation was marked on Monday.
He was born on 25 October 1944 in village Malkan of district Rawalpindi. He joined the Pakistan Army at the age of 18. In the war of 1971, he fought bravely and on March 23, 1972, the government of Pakistan awarded the "Nishan-e-Haider".
