Pakistan Railways Awami Express Wednesday has been restored from Peshawar Cantt to Karachi as the first train has left for the port city after a lull of 16 months.

The service was closed due to the flood of 2022 and is now resumed after infrastructure maintenance and improvement. It will make 60 stops including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan
