Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had not submitted the nomination papers for any of the seats in Karachi.
Despite the stronghold in Karachi, the PPP top brass had decided not to contest the elections from Karachi. PPP leader Murtaza Wahab said: “Bilawal Bhutto can contest elections from any constituency he wants to contest the elections from.”
In 2018, Bhutto-Zardari started his electoral career in Lyari. Not only this, the NA seat from Lyari is the stronghold of the Bhutto family, as in 1988, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto contested the elections from Lyari.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari had also contested the elections from Lyari.

– Nawaz Sharif should face cases against him: Nasir Hussain Shah –
PPP leader Nasir Hussain Shah said on Tuesday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif should face cases against him.
Expressing his thoughts, Sanaullah said: “We [PPP] had welcomed Nawaz Sharif on the occasion of his return to the country. Nawaz Sharif had not even said a single word about the elections.”
“It has been said that the PPP will have a tough time in the elections,” he said.
He made it clear that every political party will take part in the elections according to its own manifesto.
