Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior Manzoor Wassan on Tuesday claimed efforts were underway to bring former premier Nawaz Sharif into the power, the way Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder was brought.
Speaking to the media at the airport in Sukkur, Wassan said, “The elections are happening, but anything can happen during the last moments before the elections. The PPP wants timely elections in the country.”
“It is our wish that the bat symbol should remain intact,” the PPP stalwart said.

Wassan maintained: “The torture the PPP had to face was not witnessed by another political party.”
– Nawaz Sharif should face cases against him: Nasir Hussain Shah –
PPP leader Nasir Hussain Shah said on Tuesday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif should face cases against him.

Expressing his thoughts, Sanaullah said: “We [PPP] had welcomed Nawaz Sharif on the occasion of his return to the country. Nawaz Sharif had not even said a single word about the elections.”
“It has been said that the PPP will have a tough time in the elections,” he said.
He made it clear that every political party will take part in the elections according to its own manifesto.
Shah said: “PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has talked about the level playing field, not Avenfield.”
