The district administration of Islamabad launched on Friday a crackdown against unauthorised political banners and panaflex.
The administration had removed the political banners of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in NA-46 and NA-48.
“The political parties should get approval and submit fees before installing the political banners and panaflex,” the administration stated.

Separately, PML-N senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Thursday that his party will contest the elections with verve on February 8.
Expressing his thoughts in Karachi, he urged the PML-N voters to be geared up for the elections. He urged maintaining the law and order situation in the city.
“We will develop the parts of the country the way we developed Lahore, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi,” the ex-railways minister added.
