Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Friday that the elections will be held at any cost.
The former foreign minister reacted to the Senate resolution in connection with the delay in the general elections.
Expressing his thoughts in connection with the birth anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in Lahore, Bhutto-Zardari said: ''Today, we are facing immense happiness as we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.''
He highlighted the economic woes faced by the country, saying, ''The country is facing ballooning inflation, and the salaried people are bearing the brunt of it''.
Bhutto-Zardari expressed his resolve to serve the masses by focusing on the health and education sectors and ensuring to allievate the hunger in the country.
Schooling the opponents, Bhutto-Zardari said: ''The governments of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were imposed for the sake of serving the elite class. It is important to cast votes for the PPP to see the rule of the poor segment of society in the country.''
He made it clear that his party does not believe in embracing politics based on the ''foul'' language.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday vowed to provide free medical treatment to the Punjab's population.
Addressing the workers' convention in Lahore, Bhutto-Zardari said: "The PPP is having no competition with any of the political parties. The real competition of the PPP is to overcome the challenges posed by unemployment."
The former foreign minister had vowed ownership rights to the Katchi Abadis in Punjab. "Now I will construct 3 million houses for the poor segment of society," he added.
He took a swipe at the political opponents, saying, "Is there any arrangement in Raiwand for free medical treatment? The opponents make tall claims about developing Punjab. We will develop a hospital in Raiwind."
Bhutto-Zardari resolved to double the salaries of the masses and provide 300 units of free electricity to the poor segment of society if voted into power.
He made it clear that the party does not believe in the politics of hatred and division.
