Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman is expected to visit Afghanistan in a bid to completely restore the ties between the two countries.
Sources divulged on Saturday, Rehman will be accompanied by Maulana Salauddin Ayubi and Maulana Jamaluddin during his visit to Afghanistan.
During his visit, matters in line with the improvement in the ties between the two countries and the geographical situation will be discussed with the Afghan interim government.
The matters pertaining to the banned outfit, TTP, will also be discussed with the Afghan government.
Earlier, the Afghan interim government had invited Rehman to visit Afghanistan.
– Never promoted sectarianism: Fazlur Rehman –
Rehman said on Sunday that his party had never promoted sectarianism in the country.
Speaking to the media in Multan, Rehman said, "We have staged politics and ensured to maintain socio-religious values. We have to ensure that we speak in a gentle way if there are any differences of opinion. We do not have to use any foul language."
Underscoring the importance of uplifting social values across the country, Rehman said, "There is a dire need to develop social connection with the masses."
