Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed optimism on Saturday about winning the forthcoming elections, slated to happen on February 8.
Addressing the public gathering in Bahawalpur, the former foreign minister said: “I am contesting the elections on the 10-point agenda. I would like to ask the workers to spread my message.’’
He was of the view that his party was having no competition with any of the political parties, adding that the primary focus of the PPP is to cope with the challenges posed by unemployment, poverty, and inflation.

Bhutto-Zardari said, “We will take initiatives to put an end to hunger. I will launch the Bhook Mitao programme in every Union Council. He vowed to provide financial assistance to the mothers of the newborns.”.
Vowing to roll out the “Benazir Kissan Card," Bhutto-Zardari said, “We will facilitate the farmers by bringing the Kissan Card facility.”
The former foreign minister also expressed his resolve to provide ownership rights to women.
He expressed his resolve to establish the IT-based university in Bahawalpur.
Underscoring the importance of uplifting the country’s economy, Bhutto-Zardari said, “Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had given the manifesto to drag the country out of its economic woes. During the tenure of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the poor, labourers, farmers, and unprivileged segments of society were given representation.”
He asserted, “The country is facing severe hardships that were never witnessed before.’’
Bhuuto-Zardari was ready to contest elections with a “selfless” approach.
