Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Sunday that the country was facing severe economic hardships.
Addressing the party workers in NA-122 in Lahore, Rafique said: “Though the country has an old history of witnessing elections in the country. The upcoming elections are different from the previous ones.”
He recalled the vote of no-confidence motion against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, saying, “The country would have defaulted if we had not brought the vote of no-confidence motion.”
“We were aware of the fact that if we bear the brunt of the PTI founder’s negligence, then the people will blame us,” Rafique said.
"If we did not bring the vote of no-confidence motion, the price of roti could reach Rs500 and the price of a dollar could reach Rs1000," he added.
