The allegedly petrol bomb was hurled on Friday at the Pakistan Peoples Party's office (PPP) in Lahore's Satto Katla.
Manzar Abbas Khokhar, a PPP candidate from PP-162, had filed an application at the Township Police Station. PPP senior leader Shazia Marri said, ‘’Attacking the election campaign of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is a cowardly act.’’
‘’The political opponents are fearing that Bilawal will win the elections from Lahore,’’ Shazia Marri said.
– MQM-P leader joins PPP –
Separately, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Aslam Afridi joined the PPP on Friday.
Addressing the press conference flanked by Dr. Asim Hussain, Afridi said, ‘’ I did not have any issue with the ticket with the MQM-P. However, the MQM-P is missing genuine leadership’’.
Meanwhile, Dr. Asim Hussain said, ‘’Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will soon tell what to develop in Karachi.’’
The PPP leaders expressed optimism that the party would win the elections in Karachi.
