In response to circulating social media reports claiming the closure of educational institutions in Lahore, Punjab Inspector General (IGP), Usman Anwar, emphatically stated today that there is no credible security threat, and no instructions have been issued to close schools or colleges.
Addressing the media, Punjab IG reassured the public that all educational institutions are operational, with police ensuring full security measures and urged the community not to lend credence to the misleading information spreading on social media platforms, emphasizing that such reports are baseless and a misuse of the digital space.
"The social media reports regarding the closure of educational institutions are baseless. No instruction has been received or given to close schools or colleges," declared IG Punjab.
