Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed on Friday his gratitude to the Khokhar family for making the announcement about joining the party.
Speaking to the media in Multan, the former prime minister said, ‘’Khokhar brothers have announced support for my son Abdul Qadir Gilani in NA-148. In 1988, from this constituency, Nawaz Sharif was contesting elections in opposition to me.’’
‘’All the workers have been mobilised to extend support to the party,’’ Gilani said.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday invited Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif to engage in debate with him ahead of the general elections.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bhutto-Zardari said: ‘’ I invite the PM candidate of the PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, to engage in a debate with me anytime, anywhere before February 8’’.
‘’Globally, presidential and prime ministerial candidates participate in televised debates, providing voters with crucial insights into their plans,’’ the former foreign minister penned.
He said, ‘’This transparency is vital for an informed electorate ahead of the voting process’’.
