Senior journalist Nadeem Malik responding 10-year imprisonment to Premier Imran Khan and the former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi termed it as a ‘political sentence’.
He said that it was not a fair verdict announced by the special court in which 10 10-year sentence was handed over to Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Nadeem Malik commented that it was clear to announce the verdict in the cipher case. “It will take at least two years for PTI leaders to approach the Supreme Court and then maybe the apex court suspend the verdict.
He said: “It’s is the replay of the same episode that occurred to Nawaz Sharif in the 2017 and 2018.”
Nadeem Malik said such verdicts came under the umbrella of the judicial murder.
