The assertions, made by Spanish journalist Concha Calleja, were labeled as "totally made-up" by a palace insider who spoke exclusively to The Times in London.
The palace source, who insisted on the unsubstantiated nature of the allegations, stated firmly, "It's total nonsense. It's fundamentally, totally made-up, and I'll use polite English here: it's absolutely not the case."
The insider also highlighted that no attempt was made by the journalist to fact-check the information with any official sources within the royal household.
Calleja claimed to have obtained the information from an "aide from the royal household in a completely off-the-record manner." However, the palace has refuted this, emphasizing the lack of verification and reliability in the journalist's account.
The royal source expressed disappointment, stating, "No attempt was made by that journalist to fact-check anything that she said with anyone in the household."
