Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Asif said on Friday that he had emphasised the minorities' rights on every platform.
Addressing the workers' convention of the minorities in Sialkot, the former defence minister said, "Like Islam, every other religion should be respected equally."
Asif said, "There is a dire need to address myriad problems." He emphasised the need to take initiatives to build worship places for minority communities.
"We will include Mission Hospital in the list of the best hospitals in the city," he stated.
– Country stands by Nawaz Sharif –
Few days back, Asif said that the entire country was standing by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing the party's workers' convention in Sialkot, Asif said, "We will announce our plans in the coming days."
He recalled the ouster of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif. "Nawaz Sharif was removed as the premier through a conspiracy."
"It is Nawaz Sharif who has taken the country back on track. The country is standing with Nawaz Sharif today."
"The people of the country are not supporting any looters," he said.
"Nowadays, the uproar has been caused by losing the bat symbol. What about that time when PML-N's lion symbol was snatched?" he said.
Rebuking the PTI, Asif questioned, "What about the pledges made to create 20 million job opportunities? Who had been issued the loans?"
