PML-N senior leader Khawaja Asif hoped on Thursday that the turnout would remain at more than 50 per cent in the general elections.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, the former defence minister said, "Having a good turnout means that more people are using their power of vote."
"Throughout the day, the polling process was held peacefully, and the people had come out of their homes to vote," Asif said.
"Even when I had cast my vote in the morning, the people were coming in large numbers to exercise their right to vote," he said.
