Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) information secretary, Rauf Hassan, asserted the party's ability to establish three governments while also announcing legal action against alleged alterations in the election results.
Speaking to the media, he acknowledged the diminishing political space for PTI since the conclusion of its government. He praised the resilience of PTI workers who persevered despite facing various forms of oppression. He also commended the bold participation of PTI supporters in the electoral process.
He highlighted their lead in National and Provincial Assembly seats "until last night," alleging abrupt changes in the results after midnight.
"Suddenly, the election results stopped coming after 12:00 pm," Hassan claimed, suggesting manipulation. "After that, the winners were beaten." He further stressed PTI's "significant majority" in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and continued lead in Punjab.
He expressed concern over reports of winners being subjected to physical assaults following the cessation of result updates.
Emphasizing PTI's significant majority in certain provinces and its continuing lead in Punjab, the party information secretary stated that the party is currently positioned to form governments in three regions.
In response to observed irregularities in the electoral process, Hassan disclosed PTI's intention to pursue legal recourse, including the option of approaching tribunal courts to address discrepancies in the announced results.
