As political marathon efforts are being underway for future government amid the stark reality that no party alone can form the government, senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) contacted the senior leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
The development came the next day when JI Amir Sirajul Haq resigned from his post accepting the defeat of his party in the Election 2024.
The latest political contacts are being made to form future government formation in the Center and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI’s nominated candidate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur contacted Jamaat-e-Islami's Deputy Amir Liaquat Baloch.
Both sides discussed the current situation. Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Senator Azam Khan Swati also contacted Liaquat Baloch.
PTI bigwigs discussed the issues of government formation with the JI leadership. Sources claimed that the leaders of both parties expected to meet within a day or two and settle the issues.
