The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday decided to field the defeated candidates in the upcoming by-elections.
Sources divulged that the PML-N had decided to field Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah, and Ali Pervaiz Malik in the by-elections.
Moreover, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will supervise Shehbaz Sharif in the centre and Punjab.
Nawaz Sharif will make the decision regarding his NA seat after consultation.
– PPP decides to field Asif Ali Zardari for president –
On Tuesday, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had decided to field Asif Ali Zardari for the role of president.
Sources divulged the Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting was briefed that the party had reached a deal with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The PPP was looking to secure the posts of senate chairman, and provincial governors.
During the CEC meeting, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari burst into tears, while mentioning the attacks on PPP workers and candidates.
Bhutto-Zardari said: "Our workers were tortured, and the PPP's mandate had been snatched."
