Re-polling has been set in motion at seven polling stations in the constituencies of NA-253 and PB-9 Kohlu. The Election Commission confirmed the re-polling, which will continue without interruption until 5pm.
Following the Election Commission's directives, re-polling has been carried out at seven polling stations in the National Assembly constituency NA-253 and Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-9 Kohlu. Polling couldn't proceed on February 8 as scheduled.
According to the District Returning Officer (DRO), a cumulative total of, 8263 registered voters are impacted across these seven polling stations, all of which have been designated as highly sensitive.
The deployment of over 800 officers and officials from the Law Enforcement agencies underscores the importance of the re-polling exercise.
In NA-253, independent candidate Mian Muhammad Khan Bugti leads by 2040 votes against PML-N's Mir Dostain Khan Domki. Meanwhile, in PB-9 Kohlu, PPP's Mir Naseebullah Khan Marri has garnered a lead of 3409 votes against PML-N's Nawab Changez Khan Marri.
Yesterday, re-polling was conducted in NA-88, PK-90, and PS-18 constituencies in Pakistan.
The results showed victories for candidates Gul Asghar Khan Baghoor in NA-88, Jameel Dher in PS-18, and Aftab Alam in PK-90.
However, incidents of violence, including ballot box burning and armed interference, disrupted polling in some areas, prompting law enforcement interventions.
