The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) top brass discussed the Punjab political landscape on Friday following the general elections that were held on February 8.
PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif presided over the key party meeting at Jati Umra. Prominent among those who attended the huddle were PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and the party's candidate for the Punjab chief minister slot, Maryam Nawaz.
The meeting also discussed the allegations, which were levelled by JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz had expressed her satisfaction with the required number of games.
During the meeting, the names of the Punjab assembly speaker, deputy speaker, and cabinet members were discussed.
The PML-N on Wednesday decided to field the defeated candidates in the upcoming by-elections.
Sources divulged that the PML-N had decided to field Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah, and Ali Pervaiz Malik in the by-elections.
Moreover, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will supervise Shehbaz Sharif in the centre and Punjab.
Nawaz Sharif will make the decision regarding his NA seat after consultation.
