Karachi Police in a targeted operation on SITE superhighway, arrested a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa policeman named Muhammad Zohaib for selling Kalashnikovs on social media.
Karachi SSP East said to recover two pistols, drugs, and a police car from the accused.
Karachi Police said that the accused had created his page on social media and he had been supplying arms across the country for a year.
The arrested person supplied weapons to Ghotki, Shahdadpur, Hyderabad, and Larkana along with supplies to Sahiwal, Lahore, and Balochistan.
In a startling revelation, SSP Cant said the accused sent weapons including a Kalashnikov, repeater, and 30 Bore.
The accused's accomplice Niaz used to give Rs15,000 to the accused for supplies and the accused used to leave KP with weapons in the car.
Irfan Bahadur said Muhammad Zohaib used to show his police card and leave without checking.
Karachi Police said the accused used to receive all the money for arms through easy money.
