Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Muhammad Khan said on Saturday that the party founder had instructed to hold the intraparty elections immediately.
Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, Khan said: “Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has told me that he will make arrangements regarding the intra-party elections.”
“The PTI founder has given the message that we will not be involved in political vendettas if a government forms. He [PTI founder] has asked to follow the pattern of Nelson Mandela’s commission.”
“The PTI will not forget the women who are facing jail,” Khan said.
Earlier today, a meeting of the PTI’s parliamentary party was held. On this occasion, the situation following the resignation of the Rawalpindi commissioner was discussed.
The PTI’s contacts with the other political parties were discussed.
Sources revealed that the PTI had decided to speed up contacts with the other political parties.
