Peshawar Zalmi has signed a contract with former test cricketer Umar Gul who will be Zalmi's bowling consultant in PSL season 9.
Muhammad Yusuf also joined Peshawar Zalmi as a batting consultant.

The ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League kicked off at Gaddafi Stadium in the city of gardens Lahore today with a colorful opening ceremony.
The event signifies the commencement of the eagerly awaited tournament, featuring performances by Arif Lohar, Ali Zafar, Noori, Sahir Ali Bagga, Aima Baig and others. A large number of fans have reached the stadium to witness the opening ceremony.
The opening match was be played between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United wherein United won the opening match.
Arif Lohar and Noori, along with their musical ensembles, infused the stage with dynamic energy. The celebration kicked off with Natasha Baig's performance of the national anthem of Pakistan, instilling a patriotic atmosphere for the night.
