The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) is expected to take key decisions on the alleged “rigging” in the recently held elections in its Karachi huddle, scheduled to be held on Sunday (March 3).
JUI-F leader Sami Swati said: “JUI-F chief Maulana Fzlur Rehman will attend the meeting of the party’s Sindh chapter in Korangi. All the bigwigs of the party are being headed to Karachi to attend tomorrow’s meeting.”
“During the meeting, Fazlur Rehman will give key instructions to the leadership. Fazlur Rehman will also address a press conference in Korangi tomorrow evening,” he added.
Moreover, Swati said that the JUI-F supremo reached Karachi on a three-day visit today (Saturday).
Swati made it clear that the party had finished with the preparations for tomorrow’s meeting.
– Sticks to its guns –
Separately on Friday, JUI-F leader Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said on Friday that his party was sticking to its guns on not becoming part of the coalition government.
Speaking exclusively on Samaa TV, Haideri said: “Even Nawaz Sharif has not asked the JUI-F to change its narrative. Maulana Fazlur Rehman has addressed his concerns during his meeting with Nawaz Sharif.”
“The final decision whether to agree with the talks with the PML-N or not will be decided following the consultations,” Haideri said.
