Under the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI), a large shipment of agricultural machinery from China has entered Pakistan through the Khunjerab Pass.
The GPI program aims to bring innovation to the irrigation system in the country.
A group of vehicles, comprising smart model farms prepared in Cholistan, has arrived in Pakistan from Khunjerab.
The cargo includes 20 tractors, drip irrigation systems, hose reel-based irrigation systems, satellite, and drone intelligent control platforms.
The convoy also includes smart agriculture management platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) for agriculture.
The journey of this convoy commenced from China, covering a distance of 5800 kilometers.
To reach the final destination in Cholistan, this convoy will travel an additional 1500 kilometers.
This initiative under the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) is expected to bring prosperity and development to Pakistan.
The introduction of this new technology will also enhance the industrialization system in Pakistan.
