Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Kalat District, Balochistan, resulting in the death of six terrorists.
The operation, which took place after an intensive intelligence gathering process, saw troops effectively engage the terrorists, neutralising all six following a fierce exchange of fire.
The terrorists who were killed had been actively involved in recent attacks on law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians in the region. Authorities confirmed that their operations had been targeting security personnel and local populations alike.
A sanitisation operation has since been launched in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists, according to security officials.
